Project Manager/Health Researcher

Opportunity

Abt Associates seeks a qualified Project Manager/Health Researcher for our Division of Health & Environment. The successful candidate will support a variety of health policy and public health research and evaluation contracts for federal and state clients, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Centers for Disease Control and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Responsibilities will span administrative project management and coordination across the research team, as well as leading or contributing to individual project tasks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• As a member of the project management team, develop and implement a project management plan for large government contracts that supports meeting budget and schedule targets
• Conduct subcontractor oversight and management
• Coordinate review and quality oversight of client deliverables
• Track task status, expenditures and performance
• Lead individual research tasks, including design and execution of technical approach
• Support qualitative and/or quantitative teams in tasks such as gathering and coding qualitative data (interviews, focus groups and site visits), survey design and analysis, and analysis of secondary data sources, including administrative health care claims

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional certification
• Experience in the consulting or government contracting industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or a similar project management software
• Experience with qualitative data gathering and analysis
• Experience with quantitative data analytics, including interpreting and presenting results

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Five years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree Three years of relevant experience, or PhD

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $69,118.15 to $110,589.04 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
