Time Type: Full time Department: CC407270 Human Resources Summary: The Vice President of Human Resources (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. Responsible for oversight of HR activities across Arkansas Children’s facilities and/or business units, the Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with our values, mission and vision. Collaborates with internal leadership and community partners to identify and implement long-range strategic goals that best support the physical and mental health of the children of Arkansas. Additional Information: Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Recommended Education: Master's Degree Required Work Experience: Direct - 10 years with 7 years of leadership experience Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: 1 of the following certifications is required - Recommended Certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - HRCI, SHRM-CP - SHRM, SHRM-SCP - SHRM, SPHR - HRCI Description 1. Will be responsible for structuring, leading, mentoring, and supporting the team to ensure daily HR operations are well executed and effective. 2. Collaborates with the Chief People Officer (CPO) to define the division’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through HR Operations. 3. Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics. 4. Accountable for the direction of the childcare center (Child Enrichment Center). Guides and recommends changes to improve programs and ongoing activities. Serves as the as an executive contact for the Center. 5. Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource concerns and issues. 6. Ensures compliance with employment, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. 7. Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management. 8. Monitors the Occupational Health department’s employee health practices and programs. Collaborates with department leader to ensure compliance with all occupational health-related regulations. 9. Assists in the preparation of communications regarding employment actions brought against the company including coordination with Risk Management, Internal Audit, Insurance Carriers and legal counsel in fact-finding activities, employee/manager interviews, interrogatories, depositions, and trial preparations. 10. Monitors the development and or revising of personnel policies and procedures and ensure new policies are disseminated and communicated 11. Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events. 12. Performs other duties as assigned.
