Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Assist residential, commercial and industrial customers in finding parts and products using electronic or paper cataloging across various vendors and suppliers.
- Complete sales for customers over the phone; enter orders into computer system.
- Assist customers in over the counter sales of service related parts, accessories and new portable generators.
- Ensure availability of merchandise and supplies.
- Responsible for stocking of inventory for both shop and field.
- Process and receive all items for stock orders.
- Order parts for technicians and keeps a healthy inventory.
- Coordinates with Shop Foreman to plan and dispatch daily service work to field service technicians to ensure timely and efficient service and repairs.
- Maintain showroom appearance and merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of product lines that we service, sell and install.
- Offer a friendly attitude and willingness to assist with customer questions or inquiries.
Skills Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced multitasking environment.
- Self-motivated and results driven with a positive team-player attitude
- Must enjoy challenges and interacting with a variety of people and situations
- Knowledge of generators and parts strongly preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially over the phone.
- Must possess good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly, computer knowledge and comprehension of Microsoft Windows and web browsing.
- Good interpersonal skills for regular interaction with customers, vendors and suppliers
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Valid driver's license and reliable mean’s of transportation is required.
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and use a computer.
- Willing to train right candidate
