The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE), a post-secondary non-profit organization, is a leading specialist educator in Video Game Development for the fields of Programming, 3D Game Art & Animation, and VFX. Established in Australia in 1996, AIE educates students for employment and career opportunities through the provision of world class education as well as acting as a catalyst to build these industries.
The Marketing Manager works with an international department and senior management and oversees staff in their designated region for all aspects of admissions, recruitment and marketing and will direct the admissions process from inquiry through to enrollment. This will involve leading a collaborative effort for a wide range of areas including marketing strategy, event management, budget management, media booking, marketing collateral, market research, and international recruitment.
The Marketing Manager is expected to ensure inclusive outreach efforts and have genuine empathy for prospective families and an awareness of the needs and sensitivities of parents, students, faculty, staff and administrators and ultimately manage expectations and deliver admissions decisions in a manger that is honest, caring and diplomatic.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager – AU and Director of Marketing to support the development and execution of a comprehensive communication strategy and campaign for all AIE US campuses with the intention of growing student enrollment and supporting retention of current students.
- Develop, facilitate, implement and evaluate the Marketing Plan.
- Develop and manage the Marketing Budget.
- Collaborate with AIE – US and AIE – AU campus/department leadership to set and fulfill enrollment management strategies including but not limited to the following: (i) fall and spring campus visits; (ii) open house events; (iii) high school counselor events; and (iv) parent focused communication.
- In collaboration with AU Marketing, assist in the creation, maintenance and reporting of ongoing digital engagement campaigns including but not limited to: (i) social media; (ii) website; and (iii) Google Ad network.
- In collaboration with AU Marketing, assist in the design of all promotional materials specific to recruitment, including but not limited to: (i) digital media and content development; and (ii) traditional media and content development.
- In collaboration with AU Marketing, assist in the maintenance of the US website to ensure all information displayed is accurate and complaint under the appropriate regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Coordinate with Student Services Coordinators to produce commencement materials, strategic plans, compliance reports, and other institutional materials, contributing editorial skills as needed.
- Coordinate with Student Service Coordinators to execute the Student Ambassador program.
- Coordinate with the Industry Relations Team to promote AIE’s presence as a player in the industry.
- Manage US Marketing and to ensure established recruitment goals are met through campus visits, college and career fairs, outreach (including calls, emails and texts) and/or other recruitment events/directives.
- Manage CRM system to provide accurate and up-to-date data against recruitment goals, targets and objectives.
- Develop and manage communication of policy changes to internal and/or external audiences, ensuring policy handbooks and webpages are current, including recommending edits for policies.
- Review and edit internal and external communications designed for key stakeholders.
- Review and analyze data to produce reports for, but not limited to: (i) marketing performance (digital and traditional) effectiveness; and (ii) direct report effectiveness in relation to Key Performance Indicators.
- Nurture relationships with local, regional and national industry.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or demonstrated industry experience above 7 years
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, common marketing automation systems, Google Analytics, and CRMs.
- Experience with Google Adwords, Facebook and Snapchat advertising
- Prior experience, expertise or interest in the IT and/or interactive entertainment industries.
Physical demand
This position is based in a general office setting, with occasional interstate travel required. Being able to lift 30lb’s plus may be required when assisting with events.
