What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registrar position at Academy of Mid Florida?

Job Summary:

Registrar job duties include the origination of files for all new students, and the maintenance of accurate class rosters. Once high school transcripts are received, the Registrar sends out unconditional letters of acceptance. The Registrar is in charge of new student orientation, the posting of tuition and miscellaneous payments and the preparation of the daily bank deposits. The Registrar is to assist with class start schedules and is responsible for the posting of drops, no shows and cancellations with the student body. All final grades are to be collected by the Registrar and such grades and course absences verified. Registrar will distribute final grades for all courses, process all transcript requests, sign all transcripts for the records department and sign all degrees and diplomas which should then be passed to the School Director for additional signature. The Registrar is directly accountable to the School Director.

Essential Functions:

1. Monitor student accounts.

2. Verify student grades with Instructors.

3. Verify student attendance.

4. Prepare paperwork for V.A. students.

5. Verify student requirements for graduation.

6. Provide class rosters to School Directors each month for book order.

7. Prepare Dean’s list each quarter.

8. Schedule all new students into classes.

9. Verify student records are in order and high school transcripts are requested and received.

10. Prepare status changes for students who drop and then process in the system

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Should possess a Bachelor’s degree.

2. Experience in Excel and Word.

3. Strong math and reasoning skills.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with all types of individuals and various departments within the school.

5. Ability to multi-task.

6. Must possess extremely strong ethics.

Job Types: Contract, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
