JOB TITLE: RN Lead for Immigration Shelter
SCHEDULE: Full time; Flex schedule with non-traditional hours (includes evenings and weekends)
DEPARTMENT: Migrant Services
JOB PURPOSE: The RN Lead will assist and support collaboration in the medical clinic. Will oversee various aspects of daily medical operations and staffing.
- ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in overseeing daily medical operations ensure delivery of the highest quality patient care, optimal patient flow, provider productivity and patient safety. - Work with DON, CMO, and other members of the clinical team to ensure safe, effective and evidence based practices are utilized at all times
- Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, and formulating nursing interventions directed towards the development of an individualized plan of care and treatment modalities
- Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and responsibility for decision making, quality nursing care, and knowledge base of pediatric nursing care
- Demonstrates good management techniques in establishing lines of authority and accountability for patient care, and communication to DON
- Provides effective leadership and management to all nursing personnel
- Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions
- Work with the CMO and DON to develop new or update existing clinical outcome measures, protocols, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with policies through a peer-review process.
- Engages in monitoring and tracking clinical performance as it relates to meeting ORR standards implementation of a quality assurance and quality improvement program, including risk management reduction, which includes ensuring compliance with ORR policies and procedures as well as health, safety and regulatory requirements including HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA.
- Adhere and support DHHS-ORR’s health center program requirements
EDUCATION: Nursing/health related degree and current licensure, as applicable, in nursing, public health or equivalent.
A minimum of three year’s related work experience in charge nurse, leadership, management areas or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK LOCATION: In person at Immigration Shelter. Rotations allows, home to work travel with some restrictions.

NEGOTIATION: Ability to persuade and influence regulatory representatives to reach optimum audit and/or investigation results. Ability to present the organization in a professional manner in all negotiations.
ORGANIZATION: Ability to keep various on-going projects organized and files maintained accurately. Above normal levels of concentration and memory required. Requires good time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
PLANNING: Ability to think long term; up to one year in advance. Knowledge of project management processes and best practices.
TECHNICAL: Ability to develop and comprehend numerical and statistical data analysis. Expertise in process mapping.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
