GENERAL SUMMARY The Database Specialist extracts information from Raiser’s Edge database. Uses Microsoft Access and/or Excel functions to ensure the accuracy of the data. The Database Specialist will also provide mentoring and leadership to the team, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and profitability, maintaining internal controls, and supporting senior leadership in decisions. The Database Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Donor Services department at ACC Senior Services. This role also serves as a resource for managers within ACC, advising them of current budgetary and spending information. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
Minimum Qualifications
Two or more years of hands-on experience processing donations using Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce NPSP, or other major donation platforms.
Extensive knowledge of CRM systems, data structures, queries, and report generation including knowledge of relational databases, set-up and configuration of SAAS applications, and installation of add-ons and plug-ins.
A current valid California driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working between IT, fund development, and marketing. Good people management and mentoring skills; effective supervisory and interpersonal skills. Experience with strategic planning is highly preferred.
Demonstrated skill at exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
