Senior Finance Analyst

The Senior Finance Analyst position is part of the PLS EAC Accounting team, located in Springfield, MO, and is responsible for owning the end-to-end monthly reconciliation process for PLS EAC bookings. Responsibilities include supporting the month-end closing process, reconciliation of monthly bookings, journal entries, internal and external audit prep, working with additional accounting teams and supporting future growth through project management.

What You'll Do

• Monthly Reconciliations of PLS systems
• Researching and correcting any variances found during reconciliations.
• Perform month-end journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and reporting.
• Solid understanding of relevant GAAP and understanding of the relationship between different financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
• Prepare and provide support of annual internal and external audit requests.
• Identify and initiate improvements and technical solutions to improve processes.
• Processing receipts using Oracle and Excel
• Allocate payments to partner accounts and transactions.
• Researching and responding to affiliate payment inquiries
• Assist with creating and modifying partners in Oracle.
• Ability to work well with other departments.
• Meet departmental expectations/deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Who You Are

• A degree in accounting or similar field preferred
• 5 years of previous accounting and reconciliation experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft products
• Project management
• Strong understanding of accounting principals, and the desire to pursue more relevant items such as contract reconciliation and data analysis
• A self-starter who is confidential, detail oriented, and creative with a passion for best practices
• Good social skills and comfortable working across departmental and company boundaries with internal and external customers
• Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and ability to multi-task
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Positive attitude and goal-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Dependable, flexible - thrives in a fast paced, changing environment with minimal supervision
• Must be a quick learner, self-motivated and a great teammate.
  
  

The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $61,500.00 to $86,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $98,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
