Job Posting for Research Assistant at Accel Research Sites
The Research Assistant's responsibility is to support the clinical team to achieve daily and overall company goals. In compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and FDA guidelines, the Research Assistant will perform clinical and administrative support duties related to clinical trials under the site director's supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process potential volunteers that have contacted the company and document in the computer system accordingly
Request medical records of potential and current research participants
Assist staff with administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing, mailing, emailing, etc.
Assist the CR team in coordinating and facilitating study-required activities of trial participants. Assures the consent process has been fully executed.
Identify potential volunteers by reviewing medical records and study charts
Assist in maintaining online recruitment systems’ information
Assist study coordinators with data entry in electronic case report forms
Assist in making first contact with potential new volunteers by responding to email and phone inquiries
Maintain study “cheat sheets” that outline primary inclusion/exclusion criteria to use during phone intakes
Communicates with the team incoming data and patient status such as adverse events and inconsistencies.
Maintains study chart to coincide with current patient status
Develops methods to assist the CR team in screening all new patients and consults for trials.
Responsible for accurate and timely submission of data forms and materials.
Assists CR team in preparation for audits conducted by the FDA and pharmaceutical representatives
Contribute to providing the highest customer service levels by maintaining open communication with other research staff and participating in inter-department discussions relevant to research.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills and Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field(Science, Medical, or clinical) or equivalent.
2 years of experience, preferably in the clinical healthcare industry.
Strong Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
Attention to details
Time-management skills and ability to multi-tasking between the different sites and studies.
Excellent communication skills.
Work collaboratively and supports the efforts of team members.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff, and the broader health care community.
Maintain confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times.
