This encompasses all necessary support processes and procedures; including but not limited to schedules, disclosures, footnotes, and reconciliations. This position will also assist with general tax department duties as time permits.
- Prepare quarterly and annual domestic income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 including current and deferred income taxes payable, effective tax rates, and FIN 48 computations.
- Prepare income tax account reconciliations, providing a detailed review and validation of deferred tax balances and tax payable accounts.
- Provide general tax department support, including preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns and other business-related filings; tax research and analysis; tax fixed asset computations; preparation or review of federal, state, and local tax estimates and extensions; tax notice responses; assistance with tax audits; and other special tax department projects.
- Support development and maintenance of appropriate Sarbanes-Oxley controls and processes, including periodic updates of internal control process narratives.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and financial accounting changes applicable to income taxes, communicating the effects of these developments to management and the tax team while creating strategies to capitalize on these changes.
- Maintain forecast planning model for cash taxes, utilization of tax attributes, and effective tax rate analysis.

- Master’s degree in tax accounting is required.
- 5 years’ relevant hands-on ASC 740 experience is required; public company experience strongly preferred.
- OTP software experience required with a strong working knowledge of customization and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Advanced understanding of various internal financial systems used to obtain information necessary to prepare tax calculations.
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Working knowledge of tax department best practices.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision while communicating with the tax team as well as external stakeholders.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Certifications and Licensures:
- CPA Strongly Preferred
