The Finance and Accounting Analyst provides Record to Report support for a manufacturing client. This will include the collecting, processing and delivering of relevant, timely and accurate information used for providing strategic, financial and operational feedback to understand how a business is performing. It also covers the steps involved in preparing and reporting the overall accounts which are typically stored in a general ledger and managed by a controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Updating and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and developing and maintaining Job Aids to ensure high quality delivery.
Perform data entry, analysis and research in various systems and tracking tools.
Apply knowledge of processes and related systems to assist in resolving issues and problems.
Anticipate, identify, and assess complex issues and problems and bring to the attention of the manager along with remediation plan of action to bring the situation to resolution.
Evaluate Standard Operating Procedures to identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization and automation.
Work with Client Delivery to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with contractual service level obligations preparing balance sheet reconciliations and evaluating all balance sheet accounts, and prepare month end closing journal entries.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' financial accounting experience in corporate environment
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer facing operations environment
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with an ERP system
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills:
Functional expertise in Record to Report
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
Knowledge of GAAPs, SOX control and reporting standards procedure
Professional Skill:
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment
Excellent communication written and oral and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills
Education University Degree in business, finance or equivalent business experience
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Albany County, NY, California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.
