The EMR Training Manager oversees the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) training team, ensuring comprehensive training for new hires and ongoing education for existing staff across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Direct and manage the training team, scheduling sessions for new and current employees on various EMR software platforms. Understand and communicate the intricacies of the EMR from an administrative role as well as daily workflow. Demonstrate ability to make comprehensive and effective decision. Travel to various offices throughout the organization to assist staff and providers with on-going training and support, as needed. Work in conjunction with the IT department and EMR vendor support teams to manage ticket resolution for user software issues. Update and maintain training materials. Ensure compliance, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements are continuously met.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job includes supervisory responsibilities for the EMR trainers and support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

● High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or zero to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

● Management experience

● Previous experience with Multiple EMR/EHR softwares -

● Prior medical office experience

● Knowledge of medical office front office processes and clinical tasks

Communication Skills:

● Demonstrated ability to lead a team with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

● Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from staff, patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

● Proficiency in presenting information effectively to the EMR team, organizational staff, and top management.

Mathematical Skills:

Add, subtract, multiply, divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Proficient use of mouse and keyboard (typing 30 wpm), locating saved files, copy and paste functions, opening and closing software files, navigation of the computer. Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook). Basic troubleshooting ability.

● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally noisy.

● Travels to various office locations using personal vehicle for transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
