Philadelphia non-profit multiservice agency is seeking an Admissions Counselor for its mental health/substance use disorder/co-occurring disorder outpatient program.
The Admissions Counselor is expected to have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field of study. ASAM training is required. CADC or similar certification preferred.
At least 1 year of experience providing behavioral health counseling.
Experience with CBH, FIR, DDAP, MAT, co-occurring disorders is preferred.
Ability to effectively assess, engage, build rapport, and target behavioral health interventions is expected.
Pay is competitive with commensurate benefits. This position is office based.
The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for:
- Initial management of incoming referrals, including scheduling intake appointment
- Initial assessment of clients presenting with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring concerns
- Completion of clinical documentation including progress notes, case consultation notes, treatment planning, bio-psychosocials, etc
- Assigning the new intake to a counselor's caseload
- Providing follow-up to the receiving counselor outlining case specifics
- Maintaining a small caseload of clients
- Weekly clinical team meetings
- Maintain a focus on high quality client care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
