Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Facilities Director
Location: Syracuse, NY
Full Time: Mon-Fri 7a-3p, as well as on call duties

Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee who maintain the cleanliness, safety and repair of Agency owned and/or operated facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Minor Maintenance, Upkeep & Repairs
- Conducts regular maintenance walk throughs with Program Management
- Comply with applicable regulation, Agency policies, procedures and budget allocations.
- Exterior Care/Maintenance
- Assist with special events such as Agency Anniversary, Summer Bash, etc.
- Respond to emergencies as directed by Associate Executive Director of Quality Enhancement
Education & Experience
BOCES/trade school graduate or equivalent practical experience. Must be able to perform standard maintenance duties.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Five years’ experience in maintenance or building trades. Keep current with continuing education as needed.
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy for use of Agency vehicle. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
