Scrum Master

Position Overview: 

Do you love building ⚙️ products people love?  We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team.  As an agile practitioner, you understand that the Scrum framework is purposefully incomplete.  You will use your experience, training, and knowledge of best practices to fill those gaps and drive improvements at both the team and organization levels.  You take an empirical approach and promote decisions based on data and observation.  You are a leader who serves, and you understand how to achieve results through others without needing direct authority.  You have a strong product acumen and are driven to understand your team’s scope because you know the more you understand, the better you can help.  You believe that rolling up your sleeves and helping the team out can be part of the role. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote-first environment and brings experience on how to help distributed teams collaborate as effectively as when they were collocated. While your teams will benefit from your organizational and administrative skills, the real value you bring is your passion for continuous improvement and desire to help teams solve complicated problems.  

Location: Milan, Italy. The position primarily requires you to be in-office, but we offer a flexible hybrid schedule, allowing you to work from home for 1-2 days.

Languages: Fluent in Italian and English 

Reports To: Director of Engineering Operations 

Travel ✈️ Requirement: Less than 5%  

What you’ll be working on: 

• Drive team productivity by assuming the Scrum Master role of a dynamic team that consists of multiple product that require multiple skillsets. 

• Drive and lead planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives for your teams. 

• Provide leadership, transparency, and visibility to the entire organization. 

• Work closely with Operations and stakeholders on work creation, forecasting activities, and team planning. 

• Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent work completion. 

• Ensure that teams are effectively executing against the highest value priorities. 

• Build team cohesion and foster open and honest team communication. 

• Collect, report, and refine metrics to quantify and communicate team performance. 

• Help identify and implement improved processes and practices while reinforcing Agile principles. 

• Operate under minimal supervision.

• Scrum Master Certification, CSM or PSM 

• Experience with Jira Product Discovery 

• Experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps
