Our Electrical Construction Engineer Intern, will support the Construction team with assigned tasks including but not limited to:
- Support the Project Management team in the management of renewable energy generation projects in excess of $100M in various stages of development from construction budget development and preliminary engineering through and including engineering design, construction and all activities leading to commercial operation.Support the Acciona project team on site consisting of Construction Manager and Construction Engineers.
- Support the non-conformities, root cause analysis and lessons learned procedure in coordination with the Project Managers and Acciona Project Teams.
- Support the Project Management team to create the monthly reporting requirements for our internal and external customers, as well as KPI reporting.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings. Maintain all job specific meeting minutes and necessary logs.
- Create, process, complete and maintain accurate documentation and records associated with the construction project execution including request for information, submittals, change orders, drawings and job books.
- Participate in and contribute to BUILD SAFE implementation on construction projects.
- Support the Construction Team in the review and preparation of RFPs to be submitted to contractors. Review and evaluate estimates.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a B.S. in an Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Capacity to work on varied activities, managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
- Technically astute and capable of expertise-based problem solving
- High attention to detail and commitment to produce high quality outputs
- Make decisions based on accepted quality standards, policies and procedures
- An effective team-worker who can work independently when required
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to learn from experienced engineers
- High level of computer literacy, including using computer applications such as (e-mail, internet, MS Office, etc.)
- Willingness to learn.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel (if applicable)
- Valid driver’s license
