Concierge
First impressions are everything! As a Concierge, you will take care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure by ensuring they have a memorable experience with us.
The concierge is expected to act as an ambassador to the hotel. They function as an integral part of the hotel operation – service to the guest. The concierge is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression. The concierge must be a multi-talented individual and he/she must be acquainted with the city. Sophisticated in areas outside the hotel. Able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy on a moment’s notice.

What you will be doing:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag while working. Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Prepare amenity request. Assist in monitoring referrals, equipment rentals, sightseeing requests, secretarial services, beauty service appointments, restaurant reservations or recommendations, transportation arrangements, shopping recommendations, floral orders, arranging workouts, special event information, religious needs, laundry pickup and delivery, courier services and displaced luggage tracing and delivery.
Sell hotel special events and maintain reservation list. Greet VIP’s and maintain repeat guest program.
Your experience and skills include:
Service focused personality is essential; experience is an asset. Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. College degree preferred and college coursework in related field.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
