Responsibilities
- Set up printing presses according to job specifications, including loading paper, plates, and inks.
- Operate printing presses efficiently and safely, maintaining consistent production speeds.
- Monitor print quality throughout the run, making adjustments as needed to ensure color accuracy and clarity.
- Perform routine press maintenance and identify potential mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area for optimal press operation.
- May be required to train or assist less experienced press operators.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with prepress and finishing departments.
Requirements :
- Experience operating printing press (offset, digital, or specific press type as required).
- Strong understanding of printing principles, including color theory, press mechanics, and paper properties.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to achieving high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot printing problems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting printing specifications and work orders.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Physically able to perform the requirements of the job, including lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
