Job Description
Executive Sous Chef Banquets
Responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen and personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/ storage of all food items in accordance with standards.
- Coordinate the purchase/ product inventory of all food and assistant in development of menus
- Assist in maintaining approved food and labor costs
- Review daily activities such as, housecount, forecasting covers for each outlet, catering activity, purchasing, meetings, appointments, VIPs.
- Establish the day's priorities and assign production and prep task to staff
- Review daily menu and offer feedback for sous chefs
- Coordinate with Catering and Banquet teams to ensure all events are properly planned out,
- Supervise and direct the organization and preparation of food for the Colleague Cafeteria.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Satisfactory communication with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- 4-5 years experience in multi outlet kitchens
- Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal
- Valid Food Handlers Certification required
- Previous Guest Relations training
- Previous management training and supervision experience
- Ability to lift, push, pull 30-60 pounds from storage areas throughout the hotel.
- Remain in a stationary position for up to 6 hours.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
