Job Description:
Convergent Revenue Cycle Management (part of TSI family of companies), a premiere national healthcare receivables management company, is seeking a Patient Account Representative to work remotely.
Reporting to the Operation Managers, the Patient Account Representative will assist the Self Pay department in providing our clients and Patients/Guarantors with the highest quality of customer service possible.
Duties
- Thorough and detailed notation/ documentation of patient billing information (demographic, insurance, and payment information) in the client and payment systems
- Perform additional account follow up as needed to facilitate account resolution
- Audit and review accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Process Credit cards accurately in the client system
- Process incoming mail returns
- Effectively navigate through the FACS (Financial Accounting Control System) and understand its uses
- Effectively communicate with the operational management and supervisors to resolve all patient questions and issues
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information including medical records (according to HIPAA, client, and company guidelines)
- Effectively manage time and tasks assigned
- Effectively work weekly reports and being able to identify errors
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year or more customer service experience
- Highly organized, quick study and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills a must
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Ability to type 35-45 wpm
- Ability to multi-task
