Job Posting for AR Specialist at Accounting Principals
Accounting Principals, together with our ever-growing clientele base, is looking for an AR Specialist! This is in the Manufacturing/ distribution industry. Someone who wants to be successful in the role must be able to perform all duties satisfactorily. This position is located in Northern Atlanta. Responsibilities
Analyze short-pays, charge backs dispute or any other irregularity in payments
Verifying, investigating, and resolving disputes/ deduction
Post bank deposit payments and apply customer payments to open receivables
Verify, investigate, and resolve disputes/deduction
Working knowledge and understanding of all key account vendor compliance guides & customers pricing programs
Understanding of sales and use tax rules & regulations and the company’s policies and procedures as it relates to sales and use tax compliance
Maintain AR customer files including cash receipts records, resales certificates, credit card info etc…
Evaluate current policies and recommendations for process improvements
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Provide support for internal and external audits
Manage collection efforts and associated functions
Preform other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
Four-year Degree (accounting preferred)
AR certification (a plus)
Three years AR experience including but not limited to aging, analysis, bank deposits, charge backs, credit memos, payments, credit card receipts, month-end/year-end close, and reconciliation
Sales and use tax experience (a plus)
Basic accounting knowledge
Math and Communication skills
Excel experience
ERP experience
Detail orientated
Accountable
Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
