What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at AcctPositions?
Our client is a thriving construction company. Role is open due to growth. This role is fully on-site. Seeking a hands on Controller with construction accounting experience to sit between CFO and staff, with a dotted line to C Suite.
Functions:
Preparing the month end close via reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis for review by CFO. And manage/mentor staff accountant.
Prepare and review budgets and variance analysis.
Research revenue recognition and tax filings (multiple locations).
Update insurances, AIA billing and track expenses.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
8 plus years as an Accountant or Controller within a Construction company.
Cloud ERP Software experience preferred such as Sage Intacct, along with strong MS Excel skills.
