JOB TITLE : Metal Slitter
LOCATION : Naperville, IL
PAY : $25.00 - $27.00 per hour on 1st shift
JOB SUMMARY :
The Metal Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining slitting machines to cut metal coils or sheets into specified widths.
This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure materials meet quality and size specifications. The operator monitors machine performance, adjusts settings as needed, and performs routine maintenance to maintain efficiency and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Set up slitting machines according to job specifications.
- Load metal coils or sheets onto the machine.
- Operate slitting machines to cut materials into specified widths.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure product quality and machine performance.
- Make adjustments to machine settings to meet production requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
High School diploma or equivalent.
