What are the responsibilities and job description for the Location Manager position at Ace Auto Rental?
Ace Rent A Car is looking for a Location Manager to join our dynamic, fast-paced team! With Ace Rent A Car, you’ll be an important part of our team and help to keep our rental process moving forward for all of our customers. We’re looking for someone very detail-oriented, who enjoys being a team-player, and also likes to keep things clean and organized.
What You’ll Do
- General staff and counter performance coach – able to perform all duties of the Customer Experience Specialist
- Responsible for completing the Daily Business Report
- Processes all invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory control
- Completes all accident reporting to loss control
- Train and manage staff to ensure adherence to all company policies
- Motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all department staff conducting disciplinary action or PIPs as needed and administer annual performance evaluations for staff with thoughtful feedback
- Appraise staff productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status
- Ensure staff completes all required job duties in an accurate and timely manner
- Complete employee terminations based on policy violations with HR approval
- Manage all staff pay rates and hours worked, schedules, time off, and other administrative duties
- Coordinate with the Recruiting Department to interview and hire department staff
- Ensure that any employee relations issues or concerns are addressed and escalated to HR when necessary
- Monitor and assist in the implementation of company initiatives and legal compliance measures and ensure the communication of company news on a regular basis
- Ensure Walser service processes and scripts are followed by employees
- Support the career and professional development of staff
- Lead by example and be an advocate for staff

What We’re Looking for
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or tech school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and telephone skills to work effectively with co-workers and external agencies
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram for
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Good mathematical skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend hours
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
