We operate five high capacity asphalt plants, conveniently located in Oakland, Genesee, Saginaw, Huron and St. Clair Counties. Day Shift Position

Responsibilities:

• Collecting samples
• Preparing samples for analysis
• Performing routine testing of samples
• Entering information into computer
• Recordkeeping
• Calibrating equipment
• Maintaining the lab
• Performing routine reporting
• Plotting data on control charts
• Other projects as assigned

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Valid driver license with a good driving record

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting, standing, walking for extended period of time
• Tolerating noise and temperature variations
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Climbing ladders, scaffolding and stockpiles
• Ability to operate motor vehicle

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Candidate must be willing to attend Ferris Construction Institute after training period to complete following certifications:

• Density Certification
• Aggregate Certification
• Loose HMA sample certification

Adhere to all local, state, OSHA and environmental regulations as outlined in the Employee Safe Work Guidelines booklet, Safety Rules sign-off sheet and any/all information provided by the Company, or customer.
