Position Overview:
ACG Advocacy is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic and evolving Research Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and background in public policy, legislative affairs, and government relations. A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires strong writing proficiency and the ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects and priorities. The Research Associate will play a key role in monitoring legislative developments, providing policy insights to clients, and supporting the firm's overall advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and report on legislative, regulatory, and political developments.
- Draft comprehensive research reports, policy memos, and proposals for both internal use and client deliverables.
- Provide real-time coverage of congressional hearings, briefings, and meetings.
- Support senior team members in managing client relationships and project deliverables.
- Help coordinate and facilitate client meetings with congressional offices, government agencies, and third-party organizations.
- Perform additional research and other duties to support the firm's advocacy efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- At least 1-2 years of work experience or a recent college graduate with relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and related tools
- Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent writing skills
- A collaborative team player who engages effectively with clients, government officials, and colleagues in a professional, mature manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Capitol Hill or the Executive Branch
- Familiarity with the legislative process and public policy
The anticipated full-time annualized salary range:
Salary $55,000-$70,000 (Salary dependent on experience and qualifications)
