Job Description:
This position processes, packages and closes Commercial and SBA Loan and assists where needed, loans $50,000 and under. Ensures a high level of member satisfaction.
- Prepares commercial loan documentation utilizing LaserPro for Revolving lines of credit,commercial vehicle, equipment, and real estate transactions.
- Work with 3rd parties from time to time for SBA 7a and 504 loan packages.
- Work with bank counsel as a liaison between Achieva and borrower for documenting complex real estate transactions not handled in Laserpro.
- Gathers all necessary Due diligence items necessary to close a commercial loan transactions which may include: UCC Searches, Order title commitments, O&E searches, certificate of good standing, survey’s, VIN checks or any other necessary search for closing.
- Fund and disburse all Business Lending Product loans, keeping all GL’s in balance. Understand the workings of GL’s and Wire Products.
- Ensures that membership is established prior to funding loan.
- From time to time deliver vehicle titles to Department of Motor Vehicles to file & record ACU liens.
- Assist the Commercial Relationship Manager with maintaining ticklers and outstanding items necessary to close commercial loans.
- PCFS Administrator back up. Has administrative rights for changing preferences and passwords.
- Customer contact involves personally meeting, and heavy phone and email contact with members during the closing process. Aware that the way they are handled during this process affects any future business they will want to have done at the Credit Union. Identify potential cross-sell opportunities and appropriate services to fulfill the needs of the member. Assist all Members/borrowers/ guarantors before, during and after the closing process.
- Assist business members with post-closing items such as, address changes, ACH set up for loan payments, process draws on revolving lines of credit.
- Responsible for Scanning final closing packages for record retention into Onbase.
- Responsible for obtaining adequate insurance as identified in the credit memo as a condition to close. This includes, Hazard, Flood, General Liability, Personal Property and any other insurance required by SBA or Achieva is received to close and regularly updated in the file.
- Demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, and Right to Financial Privacy Act.
- Back up the Portfolio Manager, servicing business loans, portfolio management, payment posting.
- Attend Training/Education/Webinars related to Documentation/SBA/ and closing practices.
- Pay vendors, cut checks, and submit wire requests.
- Attend assigned committee meetings for special projects
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct to proper department/person
- Responsible for upholding all credit union ethical standards.
- Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform other essential job functions as required or assigned.
Required Experience: *
Required *Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Required Experience (minimum 3 years each):
- Similar or related experience
- High level of knoledge in loan documentation is required, must know Florida statues in regards to filing appropriate documentation. Must choose the proper documentation for each loan type, without supervision.
- SBA closing & processing
Required Skills:
- Work requires analytical ability, judgment and ingenuity. There is a moderate amount of discretion available in the job.
- Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook
- FSP, PCFS systems (training provided)
- Must know SBA SOP for closing process and documents
