DESCRIPTION
This is a regular, part-time, non-exempt, day shift position that reports to the Director of Education.
This position is responsible for driving students between their home or group home and school on a regular basis. Reports to parents, group home staff, and AchieveKids’ staff regarding students’ behavior on the ride will be expected. Problems or concerns about vehicle performance and/or maintenance are to be appropriately reported.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive students to and from home/group homes when school is in session
- Inform teachers and parents/caregivers of any incidents and/or students’ irregular behaviors during the ride
- Maintain the vehicles in good working order by completing maintenance requests for necessary tune-ups, tire changes, etc.
- Successfully complete behavior safety training and maintain certification.
- Read inter-office correspondence and all other required reading material.
- Carry out behavioral interventions, as appropriate, with children, adolescents, or young adults
- Attend all relevant staff meeting
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record, and auto insurance policy
- Criminal record clearance or formal exemption.
