ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Residential Manager to direct the day-to-day operations of an adult residential group home.
The ideal candidate can manage diverse duties and multiple priorities; and is able to maintain effective relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other internal/external departments. Candidate should have strong initiative, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities in a busy residence.
This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in work schedule including at least one evening and one early morning shift per week and weekend hours. Position is also required to be on-call.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive and productive work environment
- Hire, train and coach all direct care employees including Assistant Manager
- Promote ACLD’s values and strategic vision
- Develop and manage Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection/Behavior Support Plans
- Ensure oversight of Health & Fire Safety
- Manage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs arise
- Manage budgets and ensure sound fiscal management procedures are being followed
- Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashion
- Diligent in complying with OPWDD and ACLD policies, rules and regulations
We require:
- High School Diploma
- Two years experience working in I/DD field
- One year supervisory experience
- Strong managerial skills and written and verbal communication skills
- Clean and valid New York driver’s license
- Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
