Senior International Purchasing Agent

Acme Manufacturing has an opportunity available for a Senior International Purchasing Agent! The salary for this position starts at $70,000.00 (negotiable based on experience) annually and this role is eligible for our Competitive Benefits package, including Health, Dental, Vision, and PTO. This position will work on-site at our corporate office near I-70 and Monaco. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for processing purchasing requests, tracking orders, following up with both outside vendors and all necessary associates, and maintaining inventory controls. The shipping logistics coordinator will maintain spreadsheets, utilize our MRP system, manage multiple international shipments at once, and act as a purchaser for the company.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing all domestic and international purchases.
  • Evaluating domestic and international purchasing options.
  • Maintaining accountability and progress of shipments.
  • Creating and updating spreadsheets.
  • Navigating BOLs, wire transfers, duties, tariffs, and exchange rates.
  • Working online with our international freight forwarders.
Who we are seeking in an applicant: 

The idea candidate will have at least 5 to 10 years of experience as a buyer or purchaser, preferably with a manufacturing company. We would prefer a person with experience with international shipments as well.

We also are seeking an individual with:
  • Five to ten years of solid purchasing experience required.
  • Significant experience working closely with multiple international vendors.
  • Significant experience working with international freight forwarders, and their online applications.
  • Total familiarity with BOLs, wire transfers, duties, tariffs, exchange rates, etc.
  • Experience with a complex MRP system 
  • Ability to optimize same-SKU ordering across multiple vendors.
  • Experience managing purchasing logs, and processing inventory adjustments.
  • Ability to communicate with international providers.
