A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RENTAL YARD LABORER

As a Rental Yard Laborer, your day revolves around maintaining tools and equipment in the Acme yard and parking lots, including fueling equipment, inspecting battery levels, and checking cords and locks on trailers. You handle loading and unloading tools, equipment, and trailers for customers, ensuring they are in good condition during rentals and returns. You directly interact with customers and can effectively and professionally communicate with customers and other employees over the phone, through email, and in person. Rental Yard Laborers also deliver and pick up tools and equipment, utilizing a pick-up truck and trailer combo, and helping maintain the delivery vehicles. You also focus on organizing tools and equipment for accessibility and maintaining a tidy yard, including clearing debris and snow and ice removal in the winter. Safety is paramount, and Rental Yard Laborers prioritize safety standards while effectively and efficiently completing assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and the ability to drive and back up a pick-up and trailer combo
• Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email
• The willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
• The ability to work on Saturdays
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 70 lbs.
• Stand and walk for the duration of your shift
• Bend, squat, pull, push, and reach throughout your shift
