Your Responsibilities Include:
- Writing service orders for customers' tools and equipment and moving them to the proper location
- Distributing work orders to Service Technicians and following up to ensure timely repairs
- Checking on tools that are out for vendor repairs, checking them into the system after repair, confirming pricing when they arrive, and contacting customers when they are ready for pick-up
- Working with internal and external customers to find the correct parts in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintaining stocking levels and researching parts pricing and labor estimates
- Identifying new parts and part categories that need to be added to increase customer satisfaction levels and checking on backordered parts for customers
- Interacting with customers at the counter and over the phone to ensure a positive experience with the Parts department and Acme Tools
- Assisting in cycle counting of physical inventory, ordering, receiving, pricing, and stocking parts in the service area, and entering parts numbers into the computer system
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering and striving to improve safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
- Completing related tasks as assigned
You'll Need:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of tools and equipment
We'd Love:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous service writing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sit, stand, and walk throughout your shift
- Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
