Located in SW Cedar Rapids, ACP, Inc. is a division of the ALI Group, and since 1969, has been a leader in manufacturing and designing commercial high-speed and microwave ovens used in some of your favorite restaurants. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team!
The Accounting Manager, reporting to the VP Finance, will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, most specifically relating to accurate and timely reporting and analysis of material costs and inventory valuation and leading the cost accounting function and accounting team. Will cross-train with and serve as the back-up to the VP Finance.
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred; may consider equivalent combined education and experience. Preferred candidate to have a minimum of 5 years related experience including experience working in a small to medium sized manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in MS Office, utilizing MS Excel at an advanced or expert level, and will be an ERP/MRP super user. Candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and prior supervisory experience. Ability to identify, analyze and implement processes to address accounting issues and improve overall business processes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Must be self-directed and have the ability to manage and work in a multi-task and priority environment. Familiarity or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma production methodologies a plus.
