Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in business-related field with 5 years of experience in Materials in a manufacturing environment or an Associate Degree in business-related field with 8-10 years of experience in Materials in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MRP and shop floor execution systems.
- Experience in planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferences: Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
- Experience in complex capital equipment manufacturing.
- Hands on experience with the SAP ERP system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor safety stock levels and do root cause analysis on why we stocked out. Make safety stock level changes. Make recommendations to management on how to improve fill rate. Participate in forecast process by identifying trends and issues.
- Working with procurement and manufacturing parts with goal of all items having lead time of two or less weeks.
- Ensure production and purchase orders are properly scheduled to meet the customer requirements for repair parts. Daily process MRP and other demands by planning, scheduling, and rescheduling production and purchase orders. Review MRP exceptions, unacknowledged purchase order reports, open order reports, work center dispatch lists, capacities and check sheets. Then take appropriate action (expedite, cancel and reschedule). Provide recommendation to Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Supply Chain Manager on areas that could be improved to improve on-time delivery percentage.
- Review MRP data, and coding of production and purchase orders to ensure data integrity and available to promise integrity. This includes all lead times in the business system for accurate scheduling. Ensure data is accurate in production orders (e.g., BOM’s, lot sizing, routing data, production scheduler, priority codes and dates) and purchase orders (e.g., Lead times, lot sizes, purchase groups, and dates).
- Maintain the Quality Manual (ISO Quality Safety Infrastructure) by continuous review and revision.
- Maintain a master list of all ISO procedures by updating at time of change. Control all documentation associated with the ISO 9001 standard by providing a system for creating, editing and releasing departmental procedures to all employees in either hard copy or electronic format. File original files with appropriate history.
- Compose non-routine letters and memos relating to the Quality System.
