Job Summary: The Production Technician will be responsible for installation, preparation, and cleaning enclosures
Job Responsibilities/Duties: Production Technician
- Must be able to work scissor lift, ladders, and other elevated work conditions
- Ability to work with multiple projects
- Must be able to work with various types of insulation
- Determine how much insulation is required for projects and maintain adequate stock
- Utilize tape measure to cut insulation and other components
- Spray Foam installation, and trimming of foam
- Install AC’s
- Help loading trucks
- Wrap building in shrink wrap
- Operating overhead cranes
- Install arch chutes
- Operate pressure washer
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting by using power tool cleaning
- Install motorized dampers, gravity dampers and flashing
- Drill, cut and assemble metal components
- Attach angle trim, bird screen, etc. in and on units
- Build, square up and insulate baffles; determine number required per unit
- Determine what types of fasteners are required for different applications
- Ensure consumable products (including grinding pads, drill bits, small fasteners, etc.) are fully used before disposing them to reduce unnecessary waste
- Prepare equipment and units for shipping by cleaning and applying heat-shrink wrap
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills
- General cleaning in the area
- Obey the safety standards of ACS and follow local, state, and federal regulations
- Will perform duties in a moral and ethical manner
- Responsible for any other tasks that may arise
Work Environmental & Physical Demand:
- May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
- Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights (ladders, skyjacks and top of enclosures) and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
- Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools, and equipment.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in a shop/production environment
- Must be able to read tape measure, use tools such as grinders, drills and screw guns
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
