Our client is seeking a Recruiter to join their growing team. This position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This position is located in Everett, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with department managers & HR Business partners to identify and draft detailed and accurate hiring plans, criteria & expectations. Responsible for understanding job posting and advertisement requirements to ensure recruitment goals are met.
- Identifies effective avenues for outreach.
- Ensures job postings are "fresh", easily accessible, and accurate on all identified recruitment platforms.
- Researches, recommends, and advocates for new and innovative best practice recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the Agency.
- Screens applications, pre-screens candidates, and selects qualified candidates to advance in the process.
- Maintains consistent communication and timely responses to candidate questions.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and timely records in the applicant tracking system.
- Provides subject matter expert recommendations for enhancements in applicant tracking systems and tools.
- Recommends interview strategy and leads hiring manager in preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, ensuring proper hiring practices are adhered to while attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- 5 years of increasingly responsible recruitment experience.
- 5 years of experience with an applicant tracking system.
- Group scheduling software applications including email.
- Recruitment compliance, employment laws, regulations & company policies.
- Full-cycle recruiting, including best practices for outreach efforts, screening, negotiations/closing, and candidate relationship management.
- Applicant tracking platforms and data collection methods.
- Interviewing processes and techniques to fairly assess the potential for success.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Reducing unconscious bias, cultivating inclusion, and assessing processes for equity.
- Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Time management, including priority setting and resetting.
- Procedures for handling privileged or confidential documents.
- Principles of candidate experience.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credentialed.
- Working knowledge and experience with ICIMS Applicant Tracking.
- Experience with recruiting on digital platforms (LinkedIn, Brazen, Indeed, etc.).
- Experience in the public sector or transit recruitment.
