What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Manager position at ACS?
The Construction Manager is responsible for managing multiple construction projects while acting as owner’s representative. The CM is responsible for the overall project delivery including cost, schedule, and quality. The CM coordinates with client, architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors to ensure the project goals are met. The CM engages in preconstruction activities including reviewing RPF’s, develop estimates, and assist with preparing proposals.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages multiple construction sites while acting as the Owner's representative
- Coordinates with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors to ensure cost, schedule, and quality goals are met
- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with contract documents
- Develops and maintains project cost/change controls and project budget and accounting records
- Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
- Reports the status of projects weekly
- Run weekly job meetings
EDUCATION
- Bachelors or Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
- 7 years of project experience working in the construction industry required
- Experience with restaurant construction sites preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Knowledge of construction methods and technology
- Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools
- Risk assessment/management
- Conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Multi-tasking ability
- Communication, meeting, and presentation skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Travel to job sites as required
