At ACT1, our people make the difference. As a Senior Cost Estimator, supporting F-35 Joint Program Office, you will be trusted to review and analyze data to provide accurate forecasts of overall program performance to F-35 leadership.
Overview / Job Responsibilities:
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Developing, updating, administering, and performing cost analysis and estimating products for the F-35 Program Office.
- Supporting annual F-35 cost estimate process to support budget planning and execution, contract negotiations, and other program decision making.
- Supporting contract negotiations, to include, but not limited to, pricing, technical analysis, and documentation creation.
- Performing rapid response “what if” drills on the impact of technical and programmatic changes to the F-35 Program.
- Developing, operating, updating, and maintaining cost and affordability models.
- Collecting, normalizing, and analyzing cost and programmatic data.
- Coordinating with technical teammates and contracting to understand the technical and contract requirements and integrate that information into cost models and cost positions.
- Maintaining knowledge of the latest theories, methods, and techniques associated specifically with cost estimating and analysis, continually obtaining information on methodology development and data research applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or other related field.
- Eight (8) years of cost estimating experience, with four (4) of those years in relevant MDAP experience or other industry equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working Knowledge of CO$TAT or @RISK or other similar Cost Estimating software.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to Flag Officers and Senior Civilians.
- In depth knowledge of statistical modeling to include learning curve theory, linear programming and linear regression.
- In depth knowledge of inflation and escalation theories.
