Description:
This position's main responsibility is following a given product's cost through its model life.
• Work with large amounts of detailed transactions originating from various software applications and databases.
• Analyzes variances in data and works with other areas to determine root cause of variance and necessary countermeasures needing implementation.
• Strong understanding of the difference between variable & fixed costs, capital and operating costs.
• Monthly variance analysis for Raw Material Usage and Cycle Counts for Inventory
• Daily clearing of inventory errors in SAP System (COGI)
• Prepare month end accruals, reclassifications, and various journal entries. Prepare month end cost report for production managers.
• Proactively identify and investigate variances with production engineers and production group leaders.
• Timely follow-up on variances necessary to ensure cost issues can be counter measured before occurring again in future periods.

• Graph actual vs. budget results.
• Investigate variance and trends.
• Prepare variance analysis for production manager. Present package to manager.
• Coordinate and co-lead semi annual physical inventory
• Perform internal control functions for disbursements.

Manage operation/function
Work closely with production to monitor, develop, and promote cost reduction activities.
Specialist will assist other areas in the development of budgets and forecasts and manages the budget process.
Also be responsible for month end close activities for assigned areas/shops.
Manage projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2-8 years accounting experience preferred
• Must be technically competent in graphing and charting.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple interruptions
• General accounting experience, leadership experience and experience working with a team to solve problems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are preferred in order to effectively manage and lead projects with related divisions.
• Strong Excel skills a must ( V-look up, Queries, update KPI graphs, Macros Access)
• Flexible to travel as needed.
