Description:
As a Assistant Construction Manager you will be reporting to the Construction Manager, and Project Managers. Tasks may vary depending on skill set and abilities. However the Construction Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day onsite construction management of a project. You will be part of our onsite team tasked with making sure project implementation with our trade partners is coordinated, project and company standards are met, and ensuring a positive Client experience. Our corporate office is in Olathe, Kansas, but we work with clients throughout the country, and the Construction Manager position is located at each job site. This role is located on site in Rochester, New York. Candidates must either be local to Rochester, or relocate, in order to be considered for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and all site personnel including visitors live up to our safety standards and maintain a healthy safe working environment.
• Develop, maintain, and update the overall project schedule as well as short term and long term planning with project team.
• Identify, plan, coordinate, and execute critical work items.
• Responsible for jobsite mobilization, movement, and demobilization logistics.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Coordinate work between trades or subcontractors.
• Manage project costs and changes in scope.
• Manage close out punch list and commissioning activities in a timely manner.
• Review contracts, submittals, and installation documents to verify completeness and installation compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-BA/BS Degree in construction management or engineering is preferred
-Construction Internship experience preferred
-Experience professionally using MS Office and MS Projects
