What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Technician position at Actalent?
Description
- We are looking for an Automation technician to perform Independent/limited supervision, wiring of panels from a schematic.
- Low level to medium difficulty mechanical assembly
- Ability to function independently on a project
- Low level testing and troubleshooting skills
- Start-up and organization of a project
- Use a BOM and schematic to identify potential problems, organize by assembly, etc.
- Assisted or supervised machine “power up”
- Assembly and test of complicated EM or build to print assemblies from SWP’s (Xray source, MCD, fixtures, etc.)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience with building automated equipment
- 2 years of experience working from print
- 2 years of experience wiring, building panels and mechanical builds of equipment
Preferred:
- AAS degree in Automation and Robotics or related field
- AAS degree in Auto mechanics
Work Environment
- Team based
- Automated equipment supports the medical device industry so the impact on peoples lives is important there.
- Challenging workload that will allow engineering technicians to learn a wide variety of skills not just be set on one thing.
- A lot of the work is prototype engineering which allows for exciting new creations.
Working Hours: 4- 9s and Friday from 7-11 (have to clean all of the equipment Friday afternoon)
