Responsibilities:
- Utilize current drafting practices and tools for completion of assigned drafting tasks
- Assist in the development of instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams
- Assemble typical details as required to support Instrumentation and Control drawings
- Assist in the preparation of estimates and material lists with project engineer’s or project manager’s guidance
- Develop control panel elevation drawings
- Assist in quality checking of drafted product and conformance with drawing production standards and project specific CAD/BIM requirements
- Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications
- Develop basic SCADA block diagrams
- Size flow meters and meter selection
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a Drafter or Designer
- Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Basic understanding of the application of instrumentation controls
- Familiar with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards
- Fundamental understanding of converting data between MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design preferred
- Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing
- Understanding of basic network cabinets
- Experience in working with multiple discipline projects
- Demonstrated proficiency in the development of 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings
- Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications
- Working knowledge of database software
