Description:
- This CAD Drafting role is with a leading global ingredients solutions company. As a leading food & beverage manufacturer in Indianapolis, this company makes sweeteners, starches, nutrition ingredients, and biomaterials that are used in everyday products that range from foods and beverages to paper and pharmaceuticals.
- The engineering team is looking to implement process cost reduction initiatives and, in order to do so, a CAD drafter is required to alleviate this task from the current process engineers to ultimately become more cost competitive in the market.
- This CAD Drafter will be the point of contact when the process engineering team needs to create or update new drawings, process implementation designs, layouts, and some mechanical & electrical drawings.
- A Drafter in this role will help drive consistency with how drawings are created & updated while following company design standards by being the single point of contact for all design and drafting needs. In this candidate's downtime, they will be responsible to optimize the documenting, storing, and organizing of existing and future design files.
- Currently utilizing a local public drive ('p-drive') to store and organize all design files which is not on a cloud - the drafter will be responsible to find a more efficient and effective means to better store and organize design files on a cloud that allow for easier access through SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc. Ingredion primarily utilizes AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have Requirements:
- Associates degree in engineering or related (Bachelors preferred)
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience
- 3 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Self driven, open & collaborative personality
Nice to Have Requirements:
- 3D modeling experience
- Plant design and/or process implementation design experience
- Previous experience in food/beverage, petrocam, or pulp & paper industry
Experience Level:
