What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Medical Assistant position at Actalent?
Actalent is hiring multiple Medical Assistants in the North Houston area!
These Medical Assistants will be working within a cardiology clinic.
Description:
- Rooming patients
- Assisting the physician with preparing the patient for examinations
- Noting medical history in the patient's chart, recording their vitals, measuring height/weight/blood pressure
- Providing gowns to the patient if needed for a physical exam
- Make sure any equipment/instruments needed for an exam are disinfected/sanitized and ready for the physician
- Inputting patient demographics into the EMR system
- Cleaning/restocking rooms
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years of back office Medical Assistant (Primary Care, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics)
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Experience with eClinical Works EMR is preferred
