What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist position at Actalent?
Description:
- Perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples in accordance with the Quality Plan and standard operating procedures. Approve materials and finished products based on test results.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment as required.
- Routinely prepare and review test data, including tracking and trending of data, and process capability evaluation
- Provide support to the facility to resolve nonconformance issues and identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Support special Quality and continuous improvement projects for the facility.
- Assist in compilation of Antibacterial Batch Release Records, reviewing for documentation accuracy, and providing feedback to teams where required.
- Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory notebooks and records.
- Responsible to operate the PSM covered processes in accordance with site policy and procedures.
- Review operating procedures annually or as needed.
- Complete a PSM 100 workshop within one calendar year from hire date.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or science related field
- Prefer: Two years of chemistry lab experience
