DESCRIPTION:
Civil Engineering consulting firm focused on Federal Projects is hiring for Engineer I and Engineer II. The Project Portfolio includes many complex and high-profile projects in the Washington region and overseas, including the renovation of the historic chancery at the US Embassy in Athens, Greece, for the US Department of State; the new Wall of Remembrance at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC for the National Park Service; renovation of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC; utility relocations for the CSX Virginia Avenue Tunnel in Washington, DC; renovation of the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, DC, for the Architect of the Capitol; lead civil engineer for the development of the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center at Fort Pickett in Virginia, and the first academic building at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus in Arlington. Additional clients include the US Army Corps of Engineers, the General Services Administration and several state and local governments.
The Engineer I and Engineer II will plays a crucial role in a team that’s harnessing the latest technology to offer a full spectrum of civil engineering
and site design solutions. This individual will focus on working with the Project Manager (and other team members) to continuously monitor and strategize overall product status and production scheduling.
Additional Duties include:
- Learn and provide technical design on a wide variety of projects
- Assist in the production of design documents
- Independently manage project tasks directly assigned to you
- Assist in client communications and meetings, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- EIT certification is preferred
- Experience with Design and putting together site plans
