Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will perform engineering design work and calculations on projects of increasing difficulty, preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word, MS Excel, and other software. You will maintain quality control for various project tasks, monitor and review the work of other Engineers and Technicians, and may be exposed to project management duties, including scope, budget, schedule, and billing of specific project tasks. You will also be responsible for client contact, representing the company on specific project items, and conducting field verifications of existing conditions to ensure design intent conformity.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design work and calculations on complex projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word, MS Excel, and other software.
• Maintain quality control for several project tasks and monitor the work of Engineers and Technicians.
• Engage in project management duties, including scope, budget, schedule, and billing.
• Represent the company in client meetings and handle specific project items.
• Conduct field verifications to ensure existing conditions conform to project plans and specifications.
• Specialize in particular disciplines and assume lead roles or coordinate work within a project.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of grading design, storm water management, ADA compliance, hydraulics, hydrology, pipe design, earthwork, site design, roadway geometrics, and surveying.
• Good time management skills and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team and coordinate project deliverables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EIT (Engineering in Training) preferred but not necessary.
• Experience with MicroStation, drafting, and CAD.
• Experience in land development, stormwater, site development, and civil design.

Salary : $42 - $55
