What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Actalent?
Actalent Services is seeking a CNC Programmer to support one of our clients within Aerospace!
Job Description:
Programmer will work in the machine shop, closely tied into the engineering team. They will be responsible for first runs (prototyping) and should be able to go back to the engineering team with identified issues on the drawings or issues with manufacturing parts. They will work on small and large part assembliesand will be programming in MasterCAM on a 5-axis machine, also will be working on a 4-axis machine occasionally.
- MasterCAM Programming experience required - Majority of time will be spent programming in the booth
- Mori Seiki Experience highly preferred
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- CNC Programming of 5AXIS - 3 Axis at a minimum
- Solidworks: able to read and program off of drawings and drafts, knowledge of setting up tooling based on the engineering drawing (will be presented in Solidworks) then programmed in MasterCAM
- Does own set up of tooling/dies
- Programming for sheet metals of various sizes, small and large part assemblies
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior experience in AS9100 environment for adherence to quality standards
