What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Scheduler position at Actalent?
National Construction Management firm based in Orange Country specializing in Federal, Public Works and Civil Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Scheduler to support a $1.7 Billion Hospital Construction Project in Los Angeles, CA
Company is one the three JV partners and is also the controlling entity in JV. The program consists of various small, medium and large projects. The current r hospital is not compliant with the state mandate seismic code, and therefore a need for replacement new hospital. In addition, there will be outpatient, support building, parking structure/surface lots, central utility plant, 12KV/66KV substation and utility corridor projects. The scoping documents are complete and initial demolition/ move management has already started and the major D/B procurement is underway. The entire program is scheduled to finish fall 2027.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Review of baseline schedules, monthly/weekly schedule updates, revisions.
- Analyze cost and resource loading in the baseline and monthly schedule update and run regular cash flow reports
- Prepare what-if scenario schedules that are based on change in sequence and inform management of possible outcome of the re-sequence.
- Review/analyze time impacts and provide time impact resolution.
- Good verbal and written communication is must.
Qualifications:
- B.S. civil engineering or construction management
- 4 years of experience
- Very good knowledge of construction means and method, sequencing
- Strong knowledge of Oracle P6 including MS office suit and Bluebeam
Additional Information:
- Compensation: $140,000 to $165,000 per year (Negotiable based upon experience)
- 9/80 work Schedule. Fours days onsite. One day work from home.
