What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Panel Technician position at Actalent?
We are looking for a Panel Wirer (Class A) for a company in Menomonee Falls WI. Job duties include:
- Build electrical control panels from start to finish.
- Use hand and power tools to create control panels.
- Follow electrical schematics and layouts to wire panels.
- Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards.
- Have basic knowledge of UL standards and requirements.
- Identify potential assembly & wiring issues and have possible solutions.
- Review shop orders and drawings for the correct parts.
- Layout and assemble electrical panels to include required components.
- Perform drilling, tapping, and riveting activities as required. Layout location of wire runs.
- Perform all crimping and lugging activities according to standards
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
At least 2 years of building panels from scratch (reading schematics)
Knowledge of building to electrical UL codes
Candidates who have experience with programming is a plus.
